An original unique painting of a wren using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between two sheets of glass.

This is a British Railways wagon label c.1950 referencing Leeds and Boston that was used to document loads on rail wagons. With an ink wash background, the wren is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 60% lead 40% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.

This painting would make a lovely unique gift and is perfect for a collector.
