'Swallow' - 1974 OS Map – North Eastern English Lakes - Ullswater
An original painting of a flying swallow using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between two sheets of glass.
The swallow is painted on a section of a 1974 North Eastern English Lakes OS Map covering Ullswater and is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.
