An original unique painting of a robin using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between glass on a wooden stand.

The paper used is an original Furness Railway Telegram (dated 1923) detailing a handwritten telegram message. With an ink wash background, the robin is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. Finally, the painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.

This painting would make a lovely gift and is perfect for a collector or someone interested in railwayana.
