The puffin is painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch on a section of a 1960s Nuffield Touring Map of Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.
