Puffin - 1940s LNER Wagon Label - Nottingham
An original unique painting of a puffin using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between two sheets of glass.
The puffin is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch on a 1940s British Railways wagon label to Nottingham. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
This painting would make a lovely unique gift and is perfect for a collector.
