Nuthatch - 1942 LNER Wagon Label - Leeds Hunslet
An original unique painting of a nuthatch using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between two sheets of glass.
This is a British Railways 1942 LNER Railway Wagon Label depicting Hunslet, Leeds. The nuthatch is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
This painting would make a lovely gift and is perfect for a collector.
