The nuthatch is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch on a 1940s British Railways Perishables By Goods Train wagon label to Newcastle Upon Tyne. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
