Long Tailed Tit - 1974 OS Map - South Eastern English Lakes - Skelwith & Loughrigg Tarn
An original unique painting of a Long Tailed Tit using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on a section of a 1974 South-Eastern English Lakes Ordnance Survey (OS) Map mounted between two sheets of glass.
The Long Tailed Tit is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch on a section of the map covering the Skelwith area, including one of the most picturesque tarns in the Lake District, Loughrigg Tarn. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
This painting would make a lovely unique gift and is perfect for a collector.
