This is a British Railways 1950s/1960s Wagon Label depicting Hillhead Quarry, Buxton, Peak District & Glazebrook, Manchester. The little owl is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.

This painting would make a lovely unique gift and is perfect for a collector.
