Heron - 1974 OS Map – North Western English Lakes - Thirlmere
An original painting of a wading heron using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between two sheets of glass.
The heron is painted in watercolours and gouache on an OS (Ordnance Survey) NW English Lakes Map of a section of Thirlmere. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.
