5 Eggs - 1961 British Railways Parcels Waybill - Penrith
An original unique painting of 5 British birds’ eggs trout using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on a 1961 British Railways Parcels Waybill stamped ‘Penrith’ and mounted between two sheets of glass.
The Blue Tit, Nuthatch, Blackbird, Song Thrush and Treecreeper eggs are hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
On the reverse there is ‘Paid Parcels’ label tape also detailing Penrith.
This painting would make a lovely unique gift and is perfect for a collector.

This painting is presented in a handmade copper foiled and soldered glass sandwich frame. All frames are made by The Badger Sett Studio in Lancashire.
