Dipper & Mayfly - 1950 British Railways Handbill Lancashire Coast | Copper Foil Framed Original Painting
An original unique painting of a dipper and mayfly using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on vintage railway ephemera mounted between two sheets of glass.
This is an original British Railways handbill from 1950. The dipper and mayfly are hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. A handmade wooden block made from reclaimed wood provides a stand for the painting.
