An original unique ‘to scale’ painting of 8 British Birds eggs (Goldcrest, Nuthatch, Long Tailed Tit, Swallow, Treecreeper, Blackbird, Mistle Thrush & Song Thrush) using watercolours, inks, gouache and fine pen line work on a c1930s LNER Eggs Parcel Label mounted between two sheets of glass.
The eggs are hand painted life size in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
This painting would make a lovely unique gift and is perfect for a collector.
