Carnforth Railway Station
To celebrate the recent return of the ‘Brief Encounter’ Joyce of Whitchurch clock to our local Carnforth Railway Station, this original handcut linoprint depicts the approach to the platform and clock made famous by the 1945 film Brief Encounter, based on the screenplay by Noel Coward and starring Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard.
This print measures approximately 8.2” × 11.6” (21cm x 30cm) on heavyweight 300gsm acid free paper watermarked paper using Caligo Safewash ink in Midnight Grey.
Each print is hand signed and titled.
This print is hand carved from a linoleum block, inked by roller and hand pressed on to paper.
As each print is individually handprinted, slight variations may occur between prints however this is part of the character of linoprints.
