This is a 1930s LNER colliery wagon label referencing Peterboro’ (Peterborough). The blackbird is hand painted in watercolours and gouache over a pen and pencil sketch. The painting is framed between 2 pieces of cut glass and finished with copper foil and 40% lead 60% tin solder. Copper rings have been added and British made copper ribbon included for hanging.
