Upcoming Exhibition: Craft Open 2026

I am thrilled to announce that a selection of my copper foil framed paintings have been selected for an upcoming exhibition Craft Open 2026 at Platform Gallery, Clitheroe.

This event is an annual event that brings together craft makers from across Lancashire. The exhibition runs from 27th April 2026 to 20th June 2026.

The pieces selected feature a selection of wildlife painted on vintage railway ephemera; some of which is over 100 years old and most with a local flavour. To complete my work in my signature style, I have framed all my pieces in my ‘floating’ copper foil frames and finished with handmade rings and ribbon for hanging or on handmade wooden stands from reclaimed wood.

As always with my work, I am passionate about making by hand with British made materials. I use the traditional copper foiling method, hand soldering and copper finishing each frame. Each base is cut, hand sanded and beeswax polished in my studio from reclaimed oak.
