Exhibition: ‘Treasured’ Arteria Gallery, Lancaster

New exhibition! From now until January 2027, I have been included in Arteria’s new exhibition ‘Treasured.’ With Christmas in mind, this is a lovely collection of gorgeous little treasures, perfect for Christmas. Pieces made by over 50 independent makers, you are certain to find unique gifts that you can’t find anywhere else.

As autumn settles and the nights draw in, Arteria invites you to explore ‘Treasured’, a warm and welcoming Winter Exhibition featuring the work of over 50 talented artists, makers & designers.

Treasured celebrates the beauty of thoughtful giving, a collection of original artwork, handcrafted gifts and unique contemporary crafts, chosen with love and destined to be cherished for years to come.

The first-floor gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm. Step inside and enjoy a seasonal exhibition filled with inspiration, craftsmanship and festive spirit.

The pieces are a mixture of smaller hanging pieces and some larger pieces on handmade oak stands. All pieces feature an original watercolour painting of British wildlife on vintage railway ephemera or maps and all are float framed by hand in handmade copper foil frames. Most pieces feature a place name local to Lancaster.

This time, I have created pieces especially for the ‘Treasured’ exhibition with some places very local to Lancaster included in some of the ephemera. There are also some ‘mini’ pieces; birds egg paintings, ladybirds, bees and even a snail! Perfect stocking fillers or little wall hangings!

As always with my work, I am passionate about making by hand using British made materials where I can. I use the traditional copper foiling method, hand soldering and copper finishing each frame. Each base is cut, hand sanded and beeswax polished in my studio from reclaimed oak.
